About Me

I have worked with wood for most of my life. In the 1980s I built single-family homes, and from 2008– 2018 I designed and built wooden sailboats — projects requiring structural precision, careful material selection, and long-term durability. After retiring in 2020 from a 28-year career in real estate appraisal, I returned full-time to woodworking. Through Crafted Woods, I design and build solid hardwood cutting and serving boards using carefully selected lumber and time-tested joinery methods. My work emphasizes clean lines, balanced grain orientation, and durable construction. Each board is shaped, sanded, and handfinished in my Henniker workshop for lasting daily use.
